This 6″ fixed setback bracket, rated for up to 550 HP, is designed to be installed directly onto the transom and motor. Please note that it is not intended to be used as a spacer. For those who want to position the jack plate further back, there is a no-lift version available. With a built-in lift of 1.5″, these brackets are made with thick material and a large radius, making them one of the strongest options on the market.

Bob’s Machine Shop’s new fixed setback brackets have numerous benefits for boaters, including improved fuel efficiency and a higher top speed. By repositioning the motor into cleaner water, these brackets increase the efficiency of the propeller and reduce slippage. This leads to a reduction in drag and an increase in bow lift, resulting in a drier ride. Additionally, the increased distance between the propeller and the hull enhances the boat’s performance in reverse. Made from heavy-duty 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum.
